Trades Union Congress 2008

Liverpool is to host one of the highest profile political events of the year - the Trades Union Congress.
The event will be held at the BT convention centre on the waterfront and will mean a £2m injection for the local economy.
About 750 delegates will attend the event, which in previous years has provided a podium for Prime Ministers, senior government and union speakers.
It will take place on 14-17 September next year.
