The 2008 International Conference on Privacy, Security and Trust (PST 2008) is the SIXTH such annual conference focusing on PST technologies. PST 2008 will be affiliated with IFIP WG11.11. In 2008 new technologies and new applications are not likely to be widely adopted until they can demonstrate that the security of the underlying ICT infrastructure and the privacy of the information being processed are fully protected. Only then will users trust and therefore use these innovations and then, and only then, will the developers and society as a whole reap the benefits of the innovation. PST 2008 provides a forum for researchers world-wide to unveil their latest work in privacy, security and trust and to show how this research can be used to enable innovation and defeat the “dark side” of the Internet. The theme of PST 2008 is ???PST - Enabling Innovation.??? Like in the past six years, PST 2008 will continue to feature high-quality research papers, whose topics include, but are NOT limited to, the following:

* Trust Technologies, Technologies for Building Trust in e-Business Strategy
* Observations of PST in Practice, Society, Policy and Legislation
* Digital Rights Management
* Human Computer Interaction and PST
* Implications of, and Technologies for, Lawful Surveillance
* Biometrics, National ID Cards, Identity Theft
* PST in Services Computing
* Privacy, Traceability, and Anonymity
* Trust and Reputation in Self-Organizing Environments
* Anonymity and Privacy vs. Accountability
* Access Control and Capability Delegation

High-quality papers in all PST related areas that at the time of submission are not under review or have not already been published or accepted for publication elsewhere are solicited. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings in hardcopy (to be printed by IEEE/ACM) and on-line (via the IEEE/ACM). The best papers will be selected for special issues in top notch journals. There will be Best Paper and Best Student Paper awards. Submissions are encouraged as long papers (8-12 pages), short papers (4-5 pages) and posters. Paper submissions should be in the IEEE format, with the first page bearing authors??? affiliations, names, and contact details.
