23rd Asia Area Convention of Y’s Men International

Y’s Men International is a world-wide fellowship of persons of all faiths working constructively together, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, in partnership with and supporting the YMCA. Its mission is to strive through active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to build a better world for all humankind. Y’s Men International Sri Lanka Division is organizing the 23rd Asia Area Convention in Sri Lanka from 31st July to 2nd August 2009 in Colombo, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Convention Bureau.

A parallel Youth Convocation will be held at the same time in Mount Lavinia and an International Council Meeting at Wadduwa.  The grand item in the agenda is the Installation of Area President Dr. Chon Byung-koo for year 2009/2010 by the International President Kevin Cummins at the Convention. Two special features will be the opportunity given to all delegates to conduct devotions in their own language at various times during the event and the conducting of the Sunday morning service at the Church next door to the venue.

Registration will be online and can be accessed from www.srilankaysmen.org. And SriLankan Airlines will fly the delegates as the official carrier for the event.
